The Lyons Den in Seaside is hosting an exclusive Songwriter Showcase featuring three incredible female artists: Erika Lundahl, Mariela & Saint Misty! Each brings their own unique vision to the singer-songwriter genre, complemented by fiery live performances and extraordinary musicianship.

Erika’s folk medicine roots shine bright in personal and vulnerable stories of resilience – dancing between shadow and light to seek futures of abundance, possibility and healing. Based on Coast Salish land in Seattle, her latest album “Messy, Blessed Infinity” is an exuberant love letter to the world, wrapped in notes that bend from energized folk rock to hushed spoken word poetry.

Mariela is an indie-pop artist from San Deigo, CA whose debut album “The Underglow” bursts with trans femme joy, anthemic hooks, unrequited love and unrepentant sincerity. Blending confessional lyrics with glittering production, Mariela crafts music for anyone yearning to be themselves and find their place. With growing festival and tour momentum, she’s carving out a space for queer/trans artists and women to thrive in the spotlight, not the margins.

Saint Misty is a synth-pop artist from San Deigo, CA whose sticky-sweet hooks wrap around songs that reckon with identity and escape, tracing her journey from radical Christian cult to lesbian icon in the making. Conjuring the disco dance and punk defiance energy of the 70s/80s, her music is a joyful celebration of self-acceptance that resonates deeply with a growing fandom of women and “queer-dos” who hear their story in her songs.

Oregon City indie rock/folk/roots band, Eel Sallad, are bringing their “grungegrass” sound to The Lyons Den in Seaside! Fronted by dynamic vocalist and guitarist Dallas Lee (Eel Sallad backwards), their contemplative songwriting and passionate instrumentals create a soulful, high-energy sound you can't help but boogie to. Eel Sallad’s music spans everything from sultry folk ballads to audacious grunge anthems, delivered with a compelling stage presence that keeps audiences hooked from start to finish.

North Coast favorites, The Villainous Things, are bringing their rock/blues/folk sound back to The Lyons Den in Seaside! Featuring singer-songwriter Christopher McNeary (guitar/vox), Holly Jeffrey (bass/vox) and Andrew Randall (drums), these talented artists put on a really fun show featuring a mix of heartfelt originals and unique covers that seamlessly span decades and genres of familiar music.

Portland band, The Flowtenders, are performing an eclectic set of original indie/soul/blues music at The Lyons Den in Seaside. Fronted by American Idol alum Naomi Tatsuoka (bass/vox) and Waterfront Blues Fest veteran Josh Makosky (guitar/vox), these talented artists deliver a passionate and soulful collection of well-crafted tunes. They’ve been regular crowd favorites at the Starday Tavern, Montavilla Station and other fantastic venues throughout Oregon. Featuring gorgeous melodies, powerful songwriting and guitar prowess, The Flowtenders are an absolute joy to hear and they put on one heck of a show!

Stop by The Lyons Den this Saturday for an exclusive sangria tasting at this year’s Seaside Downtown Development Association (SDDA) Spring Wine Walk! Mixologist and owner Charki Lyons will be batching some very special sangria varieties featuring fresh fruits, herbs, PNW wines, organic syrups and non-distilled spirits - showcasing a palate of vibrant flavors and color. All our sangrias are house-made and crafted with love right here in Seaside. We’ll also have some perfectly paired snacks to feast on while you enjoy our riverfront view. Tickets for the Spring Wine Walk are $20 and can be purchased from SDDA online or at the Carousel Mall downtown.

The Lyons Den is celebrating their 1-year anniversary in cool cat style with two live performances featuring RJ Marx Quartet and Red String Theory! The evening will kick off with RJ Marx (sax), Roxanne Hill (keys), Dusty Hill (drums) and special guests incl. Chelsea LaFey (vocals) performing some jazz/blues classics. Then the original fusion/funk sounds of Red String Theory will cap the night with Lowell Benner (keys), Greg Lyons (bass), Mike Morrow (drums), Shawn Carr (guitar) and Thomas DeLano (sax) laying down some dance-heavy grooves. It’s gonna be quite the party with drink specials and Charki’s amazing grazing table all night!

Join us at The Lyons Den for our very first Adult Storytelling Night presented by Telltale PDX - for folks that want to get vulnerable and take no shit! The evening’s theme will be “Buy Me a Drink: Stories About Drunken Antics, Late Night Adventures and Doing Our Best” featuring a number of talented performers from around Oregon sharing wild personal tales and introspective lessons they may (or may not) have learned. Short stories, essays, poetry, improv and more will take center stage and have you laughing, crying and feeling inspired all night long.

Hailing from Sisters, OR, songwriting duo Lickety Split is bringing their vaudeville-inspired show to The Lyons Den in Seaside. Featuring Gabrielle Monia and Jordan Lewis Lee, these talented musicians perform original “old timey” music grounded in American roots traditions including ragtime, jug band stomps, vaudeville blues and more. Jordan’s guitar and harmonica drive the music with infectious energy, while Gabrielle’s fiddle and voice weave warmth through every song. This power duo delivers a timeless experience — homespun, nostalgic and full of heart!

The Lyons Den is hosting their first improv night in Seaside, hosted by veteran performer Ali Dubin. Improv is a form of live theater created in the moment—no scripts, no safety net—just quick-thinking performers building scenes, characters and stories based on audience suggestions. The result is a one-of-a-kind experience that’s equal parts comedy, drama and surprise. It’s a very interactive and engaging live performance where anything can happen! This is a FREE event and audience participation is highly encouraged.

Hawaiian songwriter and frontman for indie rock band Self Doubt, Jordan McLaughlin is performing an exclusive solo acoustic show at The Lyons Den in Seaside. Jordan brings a wealth of talent and experience to his music, carving out gorgeous soundscapes and lush melodies that perfectly compliment his laid back “island” vibe. He’ll be performing 2 sets of original material and some familiar favorites including his latest single, “Not So Long Ago”, which is available on Spotify.

Featuring local string maestros Bob Lennon and Dale Clark, these talented performers deliver vibrant stories and gorgeous melodies that dance with playful whimsy through two fun sets of familiar favorites and heartfelt originals. Featuring incredible guitar and mandolin work, Geezer Creak put on a great show and are living proof that some things are truly better with age!

Midwest born singer-songwriters, Pat Vaughan and Ryan Manthey, will be performing two sets of roots/folk/americana music at The Lyons Den in Seaside. Currently residing in Austin, TX, Pat’s blues-driven originals and melody-rich ballads showcase an honest electricity with heartfelt anecdotes of love, loss and redemption.

Ryan has toured extensively across the PNW as a solo artist and with his band Inland Seaway out of Seattle, WA. His sound is marked by energetic guitar playing, a powerful tenor voice and deeply compelling lyrics. Ryan is a passionate storyteller and one heck of a swell guy who’ll have you hanging onto every last word.

Portland classical/jazz/world trio, Lucid Fusion, will be returning to The Lyons Den in Seaside for an intimate evening of original music. Featuring Kellyjoy Kanaley (piano), Rory Kenner (guitar) and Alik Berg (bass), these exceptional musicians have crafted a sound that defies conventional genres and classical norms. Their music is intricate, dynamic and inspiring - blending classical and jazz motifs with unpredictable sonic twists that will leave you breathless.

Stand-up comedians Jordan Cerminara, Nic Lanier and host Freeway Farrell will have audience members “roaring with laughter” at The Lyons Den’s Seaside Comedy Night (presented by Farrell Boys Productions). Washington Blues Society award winner and Billboard Top Ten recording artist, Joel Astley, will be performing with his band at The Lyons Den in Seaside featuring special guest Chad Rupp. Over the past decade, Joel has established himself as a world-class bandleader, harmonica player, singer, songwriter and entertainer.

His latest album, Seattle to Greaseland, was named by Blues Bytes and Blues Music Magazine as “one of the best albums of the year” and “best West Coast harmonica debuts since Big Harp George's Chromaticism”. Brian has been active in the Portland music, film and theater scene since 2000, receiving best actor awards at both the Toronto Independent Film Festival and Portland Comedy Film Festival.

Leo Moon is his latest musical project which boasts an intimate collection of hauntingly glorious original songs adorned with harmonica spattered psalms and vibrant cinematic vision.

The Lyons Den in Seaside is honored to host a very special fundraising event for KMUN’s Spring Pledge Drive, featuring live music from local jazz/fusion/funk band, Red String Theory! This all-ages event will give Seaside and nearby residents an opportunity to help support the mission and work of KMUN public radio. 100% of all donations received will benefit this important community organization.
