Seattle, WA indie band, Lightweight Champion, are bringing their warm blend of alternative Country and Rock to The Lyons Den in Seaside. Featuring Aaron Spieldenner (guitar/vox), Tom Moskal (bass) and Cam Hancock (drums), this talented trio pairs jangly guitars with memorable melodies, thoughtful lyrics and a twangy edge that feels both inviting and a little world-weary. Lightweight Champion moves between breezy Folk/Americana, reflective Country ballads and adventurous Indie Rock textures – with live arrangements that leave room for edgy guitar leads and danceable grooves. Their debut EP, Valley, arrived on Seattle cassette label Den Tapes in April 2023, earning praise from WASH Magazine for its compelling melodies, tight rhythm section and confident Alt-Country sound. Subsequent releases include “Cormorants” and “Juniper” in 2024, followed by “Battery” and “Quarterback” in June 2026. The band also appeared on Seattle’s Magnuson Park Live! series in 2025, showcasing their knack for catchy songwriting and guitar-driven warmth.
