Portland, OR world folk-rock band, Chasing Ebenezer, are bringing their adventurous blend of roots music and global rhythms to The Lyons Den in Seaside. Fronted by husband-and-wife team Benjamin Sadler (vox, guitar) and Heidi Beth Sadler (vox, violin), their sound weaves fiery fiddle melodies, resonant slide guitar and danceable grooves with Americana, Celtic, African and Middle Eastern influences. Trading lead vocals and songwriting duties, the pair balance intricate arrangements with heartfelt storytelling – moving between haunting folk passages, bluesy grit and spirited rhythms.
Chasing Ebenezer’s second full-length studio album, Compass, expands that musical journey with hammer dulcimer, banjo and mandolin alongside their signature violin and guitar. Its songs explore justice, forgiveness and possibility through Celtic ballads, atmospheric instrumentals and African, Latin and Reggae-inspired beats. The band’s resume includes Northwest Folklife, Portland Winterfolk, and an appearance on KOIN’s “AM Extra”. Chasing Ebenezer put on a fantastic show and we’re grateful to have them back at The Lyons Den!
