Let’s party like animals! Join us at The Lyons Den in Seaside on Halloween for a special “Island of Dr. Moreau” themed prefunk party featuring deliciously strange cocktails, half-human creatures and live music from Portland indie/soul/blues band, The Flowtenders. Wear your fur, feathers, claws, laboratory coats or other delightfully bizarre creations and get lost on our island of beautiful oddballs. No embarrassing costume parades, but we’ll be giving away an awesome gift basket to the person or couple with the best Dr. Moreau inspired outfit.
The Flowtenders are fronted by American Idol alum Naomi Tatsuoka (bass/vox) and Waterfront Blues Fest veteran Josh Makosky (guitar/vox) who deliver a passionate and soulful collection of well-crafted soul, blues and rock tunes. They’ve been regular crowd favorites at the Starday Tavern, Montavilla Station and other fantastic venues throughout Oregon. Featuring gorgeous melodies, powerful songwriting and guitar prowess, The Flowtenders are an absolute joy to hear and they put on one heck of a show!
