Portland, OR indie band, Bikini Drone, are bringing their tropical infused psychedelic Rock/Pop/Fusion sound to The Lyons Den in Seaside. Featuring Sloan Martin (vox, guitar, keys), Gabriel Porter (bass), Paul Reisender (drums, vox) and Briggs Yahn (guitar), this dreamy quartet lean on their Italian and Orange County roots to create a unique sound that incorporates lush synths, Euro-disco beats, surf/ska melodies and world spy-pop psychedelia.
Bikini Drone possess a deep reverence for both timeless song craft and improvised explorations that pay homage to the likes of David Bowie, Grateful Dead and the jazzy funk/soul of Motown. They put on a hypnotic show that swirls and sways like you just dropped acid on a deserted South Pacific island. Recent releases include “Silver Lake” and “Lay Lady Day”, while their song “Manchurian Candidate” earned a spot on the PDX Pop Now! Vol. 20 compilation. This will be their second performance at The Lyons Den and it’s definitely one you don’t wanna miss!
